On June 21, 2026, the Croatian newspaper Večernji list published an article by Mladen Novaković about the history of Miki Muster’s comics and the 2-euro coin dedicated to his characters.
In it, Novaković writes about the Slovenian comic book heroes Trickster, Hungerly and Hardie, created by Miki Muster. The article presents the history of the creation of these characters – they first appeared on July 11, 1952 in the weekly PPP, when Muster had to create a domestic comic book with similar anthropomorphic animal characters due to the delay of the Disney comic. It also describes their popularity over time, their importance for Slovenian culture, and the fact that they will be depicted on the 2-euro coin from 2025, as a tribute to Muster’s work.
