Commemorative coin of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Miki Muster

In accordance with the decision of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, Bank of Slovenia will issue two commemorative coins in the year 2025. They will be intended for (i) the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Miki Muster (commemorative coin) and (ii) the European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica – Gorizia (collector coins). For this purpose, we are announcing a public anonymous competition for the design of artistic solutions for the aforementioned occasional coins.

The artistic solutions received will be reviewed by the Commission for the Issue of Occasional Coins, which will select the most appropriate artistic solutions. The deadline for submitting artistic solutions is April 22, 2024, the competition documentation is published at the link.

The Ninth Art Club (Klub devete umetnosti) has published the book Monografija Miki Muster (Monography by Miki Muster). The book contains notes on the indisputable turmoil of Slovenian comics, animated films and illustrations. Texts were contributed by Ivo Antič, Ciril Gale, Damir Globočniik and Uroš Sajko. The book is A4 size in soft cover, color printing and has 120 pages.

The book is already sold out due to low circulation.

Two new comics books

Two new comics books with illustrations by Miki Muster have been published. Of these, Lucka na Severu (Lucia in the north) was published for the first time in the form of a book, and Lupinica for the fifth time.
